Advice & Planning
Yazzgoth's clients are all different. Some are just beginning, others are frantically working on version 3.02 or scrambling to get their product ready for a board or investors presentation. Still others are stuck and require assistance with difficult areas and issues where their in-house developers are having trouble.
We are custom software engineers, not sales people. When you contact us to discuss your work or your project you will be speaking with one of the people who will actually be doing the work. Contact us here to discuss your software needs.
'The devil is in the detail' ...
We base our estimates on technical realities and not on wishful thinking. We take a detailed-oriented approach as we determine these estimates taking into account subtle technical issues such as third-party pieces, licensing and platform dependencies.
In many cases there can be difficult decisions that require tradeoffs between the feature list, delivery schedules and budget. We find that dealing with these issues up-front can prevent headaches later on.
Bigger projects will require more detail-orientated planning
Typically our clients request an overall plan to help ensure the success of their project.
This may include:
- requirements management
- formal specification
- user interface design prototypes
- development schedules
- risk management
- test & quality assurance
- managed hosting
- long-term maintenance
Building better relationships
How we can help you will largely be based on what you need. We don't make assumptions in advance because Yazzgoth's 'value proposition' is based on our ability to cope with unusual and unpredictable situations. We work at the 'hard end' of the detail.
As a side effect of your individual 'value proposition' in some instances, you may find that Yazzgoth is not the best fit for your needs. If your project is relatively simple, or if it is something that can be solved by using an existing piece of code, we may advise you to find the solution elsewhere. If this is the case we will be happy to refer you to another more appropriate software development firm, an off-the-shelf software vendor or mabe an 'open source' solution.
